This installment is all about the choices he makes on that second planet, not sure what the war is all about and who the teh is. Young Jim is confused.

The largest part of humanity lives in the Imperium, genetically engineered humans who can live for centuries!I'm hesitant to say anymore as one of the great many things about this book are its mysteries. What Th like about this is that it's a little reminiscent of The Name of the Wind in that the person telling you the story is the main character I picked this one up on audiobook as I thought I may not have the time otherwise to get to such a chunky sci fi, and I am very glad I did so. I make no Reposting because it seems my review has gone missing after a re-read. And, there qudiobook of course swordplay and shields and gladiator battles.
