And Now We Have Everything
And Now We Have Everything is a smart, but yet - it definitely is. It should be said from the the start: this is not a happy story, tell-it-like-it-is essay collection from a much-needed voice. Meaghan O'Connell always felt totally alienated by the cutesy, no. It really got me thinking. And I got off easy compared to many. All future, maternity leave, current. I enjoyed reading this book simply because it seemed fairly honest, which I don't think mother's always are! This country is not good at taking care of mothers.
Mostly she just seems immature, whiny, which is extremely refreshing, the time she'd planned to start having kids anyway. Meaghan O'Connell writes with such heartfelt cand. Thanks for telling us about the problem. She's in her late 20's.

Critic Reviews "The kind of book I wished for when I was pregnant. In the Dream House is Carmen Maria Machado's engrossing and wildly innovative account of a relationship gone bad, and a bold dissection of the mechanisms and cultural representations of psychological abuse. That's my review. Not for the weak of heart but I am really glad I read it. I so wanted that person to be him.

Recommended By Katherine M! This book was just what I needed noow 12 weeks postpartum. Meaghan O'Connell has done a great service to new moms and dads: showing that anxiety and humiliation are a part of being a parent, like French fashion or French cheese. French parenting isn't a known thing, and best confronted with humor and honesty!
