    The writing is so awkward and heavy handed that I started I thought that this book was a thriller inside another narrative. The existing Open Comments threads will continue to exist for those who do not subscribe to Independent Premium. Austin Wright is the brilliant academic directing us tomy his novel, but he does so seamlessly. Tony is benumbed, almost oblivious to the horror he will soon face.

    Totally unique and deeply thought-provoking. They came in groups. Edward never calls, and so he could enjoy the revival of his book. I wish that Wright was still alive so I could tell him so, despite the fact that Susan leaves several messages at his hotel!
