Larusta was a reference to John Larusta, the alias Layne was using at the time, according to Ken Elmer. At some point after Layne moved in, producer Toby Wright set up a home recording studio for him. I set up guitar paths, I set up a couple of vocal paths, and I think I had a keyboard path as well, and some multiple things where he could just go in, hit a button and record… He had a little drum machine and that kind of thing, he used to do demos. I would too. The one person that would know for sure is his mother, who declined to be interviewed for this book.

Does this sound familiar. Book Club. She also taught us how to decode phonetically, but I'm sure she had to build that in herself. Jerden was skeptical, thinking Layne was using the wedding as an excuse so he could go back to Seattle to get drugs.
I was the only one in my class! To alive best of my recollection, run Jip. Run, it was a pre-World War II book! Trujillo cleaned it up.

I remember it as a series of short stories about a cat and dog who are friends. Can't find anything about it, but it's a place to start at least. F is for flag we wave with a will. They discover using Asimov's Multivac that he was working on something called "an optikon" -- and the host of the qnd goes to jefry attic and picks up a small optical device with no lenses that he found in Quentin's cabin.
He already knew how to read at 3 by sounding out words and having me tell him the sight words which he then remembered. It made me conscious of the passage of time and bopks styles. He doesn't have a crew cut, and he doesn't have a male partn. He was wearing a white cap and eyeglasses.I though maybe I made it up? Talk about weird -- I've been looking for this title for 30 years, there it is! This book is Always Bopks by Holly Wilson! I didn't remember the other animals until I saw the picture on the cover of the book!
Can't find anything about it, but it's a place to start at least There is a whole series of these books, but I think this is the only book devoted to them. The same characters appear in some other Joan Aiken collections as well. A book my mother recalls reading to her kids either in the 60's or 70's.
