Flesh and Blood is the 22nd to feature Kay Scarpetta and in truth the series appears to have run its course and deserves to anr towed away to the scrapyard, the first person present tense style is ridiculously awful. Everything fits, yet everything crashes. And as always, so tired is the formula. A male prison escapee heads for his hidden loot electronically attached to a female prisoner.
