With other books, it's clear the covers are imitation leather. I really like the Narnia covers. If the book info is accurate, looks like yours is the edition. So I am not sure your criteria barnds stating "I don't know of any other publishers doing a deluxe edition of this title".These are the Ralph McQuarrie concept drawings. I wonder why they didn't use some of that blue in R2-D2. However, I really didn't understand their decision to do a Bronte collection after already having Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights classix individual form. I discovered this the hard way because I could never find a table of contents for this particular edition and bought it anyway, but I'm not complaining; this edition is beautifully bound and printed with a few typographical errors, hence the four stars , much easier to find than previous editions, and is a lot prettier. Hope this helps anyone who was curious about this! See All Buying Options. The story is quite expansive, but filled with a great variation of characters and turns of events. I am always impressed that our human history has changed over the centuries but people's characters seem to still follow similar patterns. The hunchback and Esmeralda have impressed me the most.
I'm found of the somptuous goden cover in a precious slipcase. How the heck else are they going to squeeze so many volumes into one book unless they leave out the illustrations and make the print only legible at the molecular level! The cover looks good though. And while illustrations are an awesome bonus, I don't think we'll see them often at this price point unless there is a terrific public domain source. I still go on this list to look up some things.
Chronicles of Narnia by C. Lewis Barnes and Noble, The price for these leather-bound books is driven more by desire than anything I can measure. There is no mention of the number of copies published. The price just seems to go up as soon as the title is no longer available at the stores or on the Website.
