But I realized that even though I may dislike these "laws of power" they are at play in the world I live in. Find people with the skills and poser you lack. Robert Greene is a master guide for millions of listeners, and everyone wants to believe is something that is bigger than themselv.

The fact that this was Robert Greene's 1st book is commendable in that respect. Yet you should probably listen to it anyway. This establishes you as the one with all the power. Learn from your past.
Fantastic stories broadly applicable to success in life, though a bit overwhelming in scope and heavy to work through. That said, it was banned from US prisons for a reason. In fact, you have more to fear from friends than from enemies. If you have no enemies, find a way to make them. Since honesty rarely strengthens friendship, you may never know how a friend truly feels. Friends will say that they love your poetry, adore your music, envy your taste in clothes— maybe they mean it, often they do not. Keep friends for friendship, but work with the skilled and competent.
View all 5 comments. I reiterate that as the ajdiobook had to have tough skin to address the topic of power, let alone enjoy it. It's yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself. You can't talk people out of listening to Rush Limbaugh and those people will love this book.
Michael Cassius ! I think this is a horrible book. This book belongs in the category of sad-but-true. Difficult to stay true to what this book says and just be an asshole?
